Veteran defensive tackle Cameron Heyward converted 5 tackles and a sack, Malik Harrison followed closely behind with 5 tackles of his own. Rookie defensive end Jack Sawyer also converted a tackle.
The New England Patriots faced heartbreak this weekend, blowing a 21-0 lead against the Buffalo Bills. The Bills would go on to win by a score of 35-31. Rookie running back TreVeyon Henderson looked fantastic in the loss, rushing for 148 yards and 2 touchdowns on 14 attempts. Henderson has seen an uptick in carries in the past 7 weeks, and it has paid off. He is now entering the conversation for Offensive Rookie of the Year.
The Houston Texans could do no wrong this weekend, routing the Cardinals by a score of 40-20. CJ Stroud was largely responsible for the offensive surge, throwing for 260 yards and 3 touchdowns. Stroud targeted his former teammate Cade Stover 3 times for 22 yards. Tommy Togiai looked stout on the defensive side of the ball, converting 3 tackles in the win. Cardinals’ linebacker Cody Simon left the game in the loss with an injury and did not return.
The Seattle Seahawks outlasted the Indianapolis Colts, winning by a score of 18-16. Jaxon Smith-Njigba continued his dominance, catching 7 passes for 113 yards. Smith-Njigba is having a sensational season with 1,541 receiving yards and 9 touchdowns. He places inside the top-10 in both categories.
The New Orleans Saints defeated the Carolina Panthers by a score of 20-17. Panthers rookie safety Lathan Ransom committed a costly penalty on a late hit that would set Charlie Smyth up to kick the game-winning field goal. Chris Olave looked fantastic in the win, catching 6 passes for 85 yards. Chase Young converted 6 tackles and 1 sack.
