Wisconsin football picked up another transfer portal addition at wide receiver with Oklahoma wideout Zion Kearney committing to the Badgers.
Kearney comes to Madison after playing two seasons at Oklahoma. On ESPN’s stat page, he logged 8 catches for 128 yards and 1 touchdown in 2024, then 2 catches for 31 yards in 2025.
Badger247 reported Kearney was in Madison on an official visit recently, and that Wisconsin won out over several other programs that were involved, including Toledo, North Texas, Colorado, and Washington.
What Wisconsin is getting is a receiver with a college body and real experience in a high level room. Even if the numbers are not massive yet, the upside is clear. Kearney has already shown he can make plays downfield, including a long reception listed in his 2024 game log and career stats.
This also fits the bigger picture for Wisconsin. Badger247 noted the staff has been aggressive adding to the receiver room in recent weeks, and Kearney gives them another option who can compete for snaps right away while also having time to grow in the system.
Wisconsin keeps stacking portal pieces, and Kearney becomes the latest name to watch as the Badgers continue rebuilding the offense for next season
